If you’re reading this, it probably means you’re thinking about booking a brand shoot or want to learn more about it, which is great! I’ll get started with the first question, what even is a brand shoot? Put simply, it's a photoshoot for your business and perfect for small business owners/entrepreneurs. It can include images of you at work, close-ups of your products/creations, or images with a 'behind the scenes' feel.
It differs slightly depending on whether you sell products, or are a service-based business. If you sell products, we can incorporate product shots of your hands in them or creating your products, which is ideal for people who might not like to spend the whole session in front of the camera. However, if you’re a service-based business then people are going to want to get to know you – so you’ll need to practice your best smile and let me snap away!
If you’re thinking about booking a brand shoot but you’re not too sure how the whole thing works, let me explain a bit more about the process. All bookings require a 20% deposit to hold your date in the diary, and any changes to the date will need at least a week’s notice so I can slot you in somewhere else.
If you book a half-day or full-day shoot, part of that experience is having a Zoom call with me to discuss what I’m thinking for your shoot, so we’ll book that in next. During this call I’ll be able to answer any questions, or discuss any concerns you might have, leaving you feeling calm and excited about your shoot! I’ll also send you a PDF guide about how to prepare for your shoot, so you have something to refer back to after our call.
Your brand shoot is for YOU and can take place wherever you need it to. Whether that’s in a studio, a salon, a coffee shop, or an outdoor space, it’s important you feel comfortable where we’re shooting. If you’d like to actually rent some space, through something like Air B&B, we can discuss this in our call and I can help you find some lovely space.
So, the details are finalised and it’s the day of the shoot – what should you expect? Well, I’ll arrive a little early to set up, I’ll probably bring some extra lighting and extra lenses just in case. Then, we get started with your shoot!
I’m not super strict with timings, if we’re having a little chat beforehand then this won’t eat into your shoot time!
